I have been to the Fredericksburg, VA location 3 times….. Well, the 3rd time is the charm! I will never be back to this restaurant. After waiting in the drive-thru lane for 15mins, and not seeing the cars move, I decided to go inside to order. I ordered the BBQ platter, with fries, coleslaw, and milkshake…. After waiting 15mins and see the mass confusion of the employees (many of which were just standing around in lala land), a lady walked up and asked how much longer her order would be. She was told by one of the employees that “they were working on it”. Working on it??? Were they having to kill it first? I got my order (I felt bad that I got my order before her, because I had only waited 15mins! Only 15mins….) I proceeded to go to my car to find a 1/2 of cup of coleslaw which was dry, cold french fries, and a cup of ice cream…not a milk shake…but a cup of ice cream! This is the 3rd visit to this restaurant chain. and each time have been rewarded for my hard earned money….slow service….cold food, and milk shakes that are cups of ice cream. Their menu states….best value combo platters in Fredericksburg…. They should also list the slowest service, and coldest food in Fredericksburg also… At least that would be “truth in advertising”! I was in restaurant management for 14years, and have never seen a more disfunctional operation! Even McDonalds is better than this… I just read they are opening a second location….REALLY???? They can’t operate the one location that they have! Something I learned in business a long time ago is…A business can be doomed by it’s own sucess! This is certainly a testament to that saying! Cook-out needs to hire competent management that knows how to manage, and can hire employees that care! My last visit was today!
Please get the nutrition information figured out! I LOVE cookout but please get the nutrition information up as soon as possible.
The cookout in Hartsville overcooks their chicken until it’s almost a brick but I keep coming back because I love the Cajun fries and BBQ sauce. Their tea isn’t overly sweet. However, their prices have gone up (was charged $5.96 for a tray) but their drive thru menu does not reflect this change. Their milkshakes are thick, too thick to eat with a straw, and always a good value. Minus the tray price increase and over cooked chicken I love cookout.
Went to a cookout location on Saturday this past week in Kannapolis Nc. Was blown away by the intolerance of the staff at this location, when I watched over half of the employees gather at the walk up window to point and laugh at a transgender woman. I eat at cookout at least once a week if not more and this location is right near my house. I will not be returning to this cookout if I return to this chain at all. I didn’t know cookout serves ignorance and hate with their food.
I went to the Cookout restaurant lastnite and my experience was horrible! It always is the one on Moreland avenue in Atlanta, GA. I ordered the regular barbecue sandwich tray and I have been sick all nite and today. Thos is the 3rd time i habve been there and disappointed!
I’m sorry for everyone who has had a bad experience with cookout but i’m sorry this is the greatest fast food restaurant in the south.
